2018 Western Massachusetts Sacred Harp Convention
War Memorial Building, 310 Appleton Street, Holyoke, MA 01040
March 10 and 11, 2018
10:00am to 3:30pm
The Sacred Harp, continuously in print since 1844, is the backbone of one of this country's oldest, most vital, and soul-stirring musical traditions. You have to sing it to believe it! The convention is free, and beginners are welcome! We'll have books available to borrow. Come and go as you please!
We'll have dinner on the grounds at 12:30pm both days, and a social on Saturday evening at the home of a local singer.
There will be a pre-convention singing on Friday evening, 7-9pm, in the sanctuary at First Churches (129 Main Street, Northampton, MA).
The War Memorial Building and the First Churches Sanctuary are both wheelchair accessible. There will be childcare offered on Saturday and Sunday.
